Day & Age leverages the capabilities of the smartwatch and the authenticity of the traditional analog watch to create an approachable, thoughtful, and premium experience.
Surveying 500+ smartwatch users resulted in the discovery that most smartwatch functions are superfluous. The Day & Age Ora timepiece simply shows a mechanically-actuated color spot on the face when the user has a notification such as a text message. For more urgent notifications such as calls and alarms, the watch taps the user with a vibration motor.
The sintered ceramic body gives the watch a warm and premium tactility. The rounded form of the body is inspired by hand-thrown pottery.
Warmth and playful detail inform the Day & Age aesthetic, and balance it with the values of traditional craftsmanship. Day & Age watches provide a uniquely modern take on the premium analog timepiece.
