GoPro Volta is a premium handgrip that combines an external battery, flip-out legs, and camera control.

This versatile handgrip is designed specifically for vlogging and travel videography. The grip is pill-shaped in cross-section to provide comfortable directionality and plenty of room for two 18650 batteries. The camera is mounted on a 360 degree swivel which allows the user to angle it in any direction. The grip also features intuitively placed controls and connects to the camera with a curly USB cable. The controls are designed to be used comfortably with one hand while wearing gloves. Volta features signature GoPro CMF, with matte black plastic and a durable rubber overmold for extra grip.

I led this project from concept to final design, and production began after I left the company. The design remained the same as the original intent, with some minor updates to the button layout and notification LEDs.
